We finished our second week in our series on Dating this past week. Our focus was on what it looks like for students to have healthy boundaries before they begin a dating relationship. As well, we talked about approaching dating from a “slow and steady” pace, not the culture’s pace of jumping in quickly and expecting heartbreak. As always, if you would like any of the notes from these messages, please let me know! I am always willing to share these with you to help you talk and connect with your student about these issues.
We also had an awesome night this past Sunday at the Retrival Reunion at Kankakee Frist Church! It was so cool to see so many students from different churches and schools come together to worship God, confess sin, and pray for their friends, schools, families, and communities! God is doing an AMAZING work here in Kankakee County and I am excited to see what he continues to do to unite the churches and youth groups in this area.
One quick reminder: don’t forget that this upcoming Wednesday, March 4th, is the LAST DAY to sign up for the Parents vs Teens Competition! We already have over 50 students and parents signed up, so you don’t want to miss out on this awesome night! The Free dinner starts at 5:30pm on Saturday, March 7th and the Competition lasts from 6:15 – 8:00pm.
Lastly, I would love to see you at Calvary this Sunday morning for our Celebrate Sunday! This past week I have put together a video of six students sharing their testimonies from what God did in their heart at Winter Retreat! It is definitely a video you don’t want to miss! I can’t wait for our church to get a bigger glimpse as to what God did at Winter Retreat! Hope to see you this Sunday!
