Children’s Ministries at Calvary
We teach kids about Jesus in a fun, safe place with lots of friends. Keep reading to learn more. Drop by to meet the workers and to observe the ministry in action.
EARLY CHILDHOOD (0-5 years) Sunday, 9:00 and 10:30
We have a secure facility, a careful check-in-and-out process, a silent paging system, screened and caring workers, and a kid-friendly environment. Each group receives age appropriate lessons and stories from the finest of Bible-based curriculum.
SUNDAY SCHOOL (K-5th Grade) Sunday, 9:00 AM
Each grade uses age appropriate Bible lessons combined with intentional, caring shepherding by dedicated teachers, to help children develop a personal and active relationship with Jesus. We want to give them a strong foundation of faith that prepares them for the challenges of adolescence and that they can build on for the rest of their lives.
CHILDREN’S CHURCH (K-5th Grade) Sunday, 10:30 AM
This exciting large-group setting includes many engaging elements: songs and motions; Bible lessons illustrated by drama, objects lessons, video, and puppets; a review game; a missionary story; and, prayer time. It is a kid-friendly worship experience filled with meaning and seasoned with fun.
AWANA is a kid friendly blend of faith, friends, and fun. Kids are divided into four groups for age appropriate games and lessons: cubbies (3-4 yrs), Sparks (K-2nd grade), TNT Boys (3rd-5th Grade), and TNT Girls (3rd-5th grade). Each evening includes a game time, story time, and Bible memory handbook time.
Each year, the entire site is transformed to fit a new and exciting theme. VBS is an evening event, Sunday through Thursday, so that it can be an all family time. Everyone can come early for a light dinner. Moms and Dads enjoy working in the program and getting to know others in their stage of life. Kids love the crafts, games, music, videos, and decorations. Everyone is enriched by a wonderful week of faith-building fellowship and fun.
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM (December)
The celebration of the birth of the baby Jesus is made all the more meaningful when told through the voices and faces of children. Each year, the kids prepare and present the story in a fresh way that builds lifetime memories and reinforces the true meaning of Christmas.
