Sunday Worship Services 9am and 10:45am

Duane DenBoer

Duane was called to be a pastor at the age of eleven and has been in the ministry now for over twenty years. He started his biblical education at Word of Life Bible Institute in Schroon Lake, NY. He continued his education receiving a Bachelor of Arts at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, MI with a major in Biblical and Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Biblical Greek. He went on to earn his Master of Divinity at Talbot School of Theology in La Mirada, CA, where he furthered his knowledge of Greek and learned ancient Hebrew. He went on to learn Latin, teaching it at the high school level for ten years. Duane’s interests go beyond linguistics, however, for he is an avid student and teacher of history while also delving deep into the various sciences. Even more importantly, twenty plus years of ministry, almost half of which was in a cross-cultural context, have truly tried and tested Duane, as his faults and weaknesses became evident and his strengths slowly rose to the surface.

Duane seeks to bring all of this to the table as he produces various resources for helping others grow in their faith. This has resulted in material that is intellectually stimulating and theologically deep, spanning various disciplines. At the same time the material is applicable, practical, genuine, and relevant. Offering these resources to the world will hopefully result in others being able to boast that they first and foremost understand and know God.

Tom McElroy

Tom joined the staff of Calvary Bible Church as Associate Pastor of Discipleship in June of 2015. Tom grew up in the Chicago area and is a graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. His ministry background includes pastoral ministry; disciplemaking and pastoral training in Spain, and Latin America; and church planting. The passion of his life is to prepare followers of Christ to make eternal investments in the lives of others. God has graciously blessed Tom with Mary Ellen, his wife of 35 years, and his adult sons Josiah and John.

Jacob Morgan

Jacob joined the staff of Calvary as Student Ministries Pastor in July of 2015. He is originally from the St. Anne area and is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University. Before coming on staff, Jacob was a volunteer in the Student Ministries at Calvary for 5 years. He has a passion to see students develop an authentic faith in Christ and put that faith into action by investing their lives in God’s kingdom work. He enjoys partnering in this ministry with his wife, Victoria. He enjoys getting together and spending time with people, especially if it is to watch or play a game of soccer.

Tommy Rankin

Tommy Rankin was born in Northern Illinois in a Christian home and was heavily involved in his church growing up. This allowed him to begin playing on his church’s worship team at age 12. He graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in May, 2019, obtaining a Bachelors in Music Composition and hopes to begin writing music for television, commercial and film while also being active in the church where he feels God has lead him as well. Tommy began leading the worship team in September and will continue to do so through the school year.
